Independent software studio

Small software,
made carefully.

We build subscription software for people who want their tools to be a little more thoughtful than the defaults. No ads, no surveillance, no engagement hacks. You pay a subscription, we keep building, your data stays yours.

A small portfolio of subscription software.

Tobala Software builds and operates two kinds of products — consumer apps for individual people, and business tools for the kind of operational work most software companies don't want to touch. Same approach to both: build something specific, charge a fair subscription, leave the user in control of their data.

Each product is a complete idea, not a side feature in someone else's software. We don't sell ads. We don't take outside investment. The people using our software are the people paying for it, and that's the only relationship that matters.

uncloud

A journaling app that pays attention.

Write freely. Over time, uncloud finds the patterns, themes, and emotional currents running through your entries — the things you'd miss reading them one at a time.

Tahona

A warehouse system that knows how warehouses work.

Real warehouse management for brands shipping from their own building. Pick paths, wave picking, slotting, real-time scan — the kind of WMS depth you used to need an enterprise contract for, sized for an operation with one floor, one team, and orders measured in hundreds, not millions. Native integration with Shopify and the rest of your stack.

The most interesting personal software
isn't built by big companies anymore.

Ten-million-user products optimize for the broadest possible audience. The experience for any particular person gets watered down until what's left is generic.

The goal here is the opposite. Build something specific and useful for a smaller group of people who actually need it. The economics work because subscriptions work. The model is simple: you pay, we build, your data stays yours.
